Harvesters-Garden Class for 12-18 year olds
Join us in the garden and on the farm for this class focused on youth.
This experiential learning class is focused on tool use, planting, harvesting, methods to combat food insecurity and support your community, recipe planning and more.
Each students will work in the garden to identify growing plants and their uses in delicious recipes through hands on harvesting, prepping and cooking.
We will also have the opportunity to forage for blueberries, raspberries and other treats to take home to share with family.
We will get to know the garden and all the tools used to make things grow through hand on use and instruction.
Discussions about the work Overlook does and who benefits from our growing of fresh vegetables and the importance of community in fighting food insecurity will be lead by local pantry leaders from Worcester County.
